Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Engineering or science-related degree
  • 5 years in the mining industry or related experience with exposure to mine construction, mine
    permitting, compliance and closure. Preference will be given to mining experience
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in the mining industry including project managing environmental projects, supervising staff and contractors
  • Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives
  • Understanding of applicable permits and associated requirements, with preference given to those with experience in the Yukon regulatory regime
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of projects and timelines to meet tight time restraints
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision and work autonomously
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a proven track record of practical problem solving
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office products
  • Yukon First Line Supervisor or ability to gain certification within 3 months of employment
  • Able to work in camp setting on a rotational basis
  • Preference given to Yukon applicants
  • This will be a fly-in/fly-out position based at the Coffee Project site, rotational schedule will determined by the Environment Superintendent.
