The production improvement coordinators are part of the strategy and innovation team. They are responsible for coordinating project schedules, priorities, and activities underground to ensure production ramp up objectives are achieved. The individuals will work in close collaboration with all mine teams, including mining operations, engineering, geology, and maintenance. They have the important role of liaison between the various teams to ensure the alignment of planning and execution with the production ramp up of Éléonore. Furthermore, they will track key performance indicators and in collaboration with various teams, establish the necessary action plans to ensure the continuous improvement of performances. Additionally, they are critical to determining changes to mining methods, communications, and technologies that will support Eleonore’s production growth. The production coordinators are responsible for supporting the growth of production at Éléonore and ensure that these improvements achieve stability and are sustainable over time.




  • Work in close collaboration with mine operations,  maintenance, geology, and engineering, to ensure plans and priorities are aligned with our medium, long term objectives.

  • Implement and support new methods of communication to improve the comprehension of our objectives by the various teams.   

  • Tracking of key performance indicators for mine production, and communicate short falls.

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of various solutions with various senior supervision teams; geology, engineering, mine, maintenance.

  • Insure an adequate tracking and follow up on the execution of the mine plan to signal potential deviations to the appropriate teams. Implement and coordinate monthly retro analyses to identify production bottle necks, and the necessary action to achieve future objectives.    

  • Facilitate continuous improvement action plans in line with production improvement objectives.

  • Coordinate the implementation of major projects related production improvement (changes to equipment fleet, contractors, new technologies).

  • Participate in the evaluation and creation of mine plans and designs with engineering teams.

  • Understand and analyses mine production costs.

  • Respect, understand and encourage company regulations and policies, particularly with regards to health, safety, environment and community relations.

  • All other tasks related to the performance of his/her duties.

  • Schedule : 4 days of work followed by 3 days off


  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years pertinent experience in mining

  • Engineering and operations experience

  • Quebec Mining Module 1 to 5 and 7 and valid explosives permit

  • Member of the Order of engineers of Quebec

  • Bilingualism

  • Good understanding of computer softwares

  • Experience with continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc…)
