In line with our focus on developing our people Goldcorp’s Graduate Development Program (GDP) provides real opportunities to new graduates like you. You’ll be teamed with leaders in the industry, equipped with cutting-edge technology and supported with training and career development to help you learn and grow.
GDP Participants take part in a three-year program in which newly recruited graduates gain on-the-job skills and training enabling them to achieve development milestones and the technical indicators needed to obtain their professional designations. This unique opportunity will challenge you, test you and provide you the opportunity to work with and learn from the best in the industry. The GDP program offers you all this while supporting you through training and mentorship to ensure you are successful in your career with Goldcorp.
Over the three-year program, you will:
  • Achieve competencies in specific Technical Indicators required for your professional designation through on-the-job technical development
  • Rotate into different roles within your discipline throughout the program
  • Improve your Leadership Skills through professional development training as well as yearly missions to practice what is learned
  • Benefit from having a Mentor throughout the duration of the program

We are currently in search of Industrial Hygiene graduates to join the program in a variety of roles across our Canadian operations: Musselwhite Mine (Thunder Bay ON), Red Lake Gold Mines (Red Lake ON), Porcupine Gold Mines (Timmins ON), Borden Lake Project (Chapleau, ON) and Éléonore (James Bay QC).
Site placements will be determined by Goldcorp, therefore all interested applicants must be willing and able to relocate to any of our Canadian sites. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Successful candidates will have:
  • A Bachelor of Applied Science Degree focused on Occupational Health or a related discipline from a recognized University
  • Previous co-op/internship experience at a mine site.
  • Up to a maximum of two years relevant post-university work experience
  • Strong computer skills in mining related software
  • Fluency in English; Spanish and French language skills an asset (Éléonore placements require both English and French)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety
  • Commit to continuous improvement with a vested interest in developing oneself as well as others around them
  • Be interested in working within a diverse and inclusive environment with enthusiasm to work collaboratively and respectfully to achieve mutual success.
  • An ability to focus on priorities and re-align when needed
